Welcome

Welcome to our website. We intend to post up material for all of you studying AS Psychology, following the OCR syllabus.

The main value of this website is for Spalding Grammar School students doing their Independent Study work. You will find PowerPoint lectures you can download, web resources to access and a set of exam-style questions to complete.

We will also be adding pages for the other Core Studies, so that you can use this website to revise and also "fill in the gaps" if you miss any lessons due to illness, school trips or other commitments.

Don't forget to use the Calendar to keep yourself up to date and look in on the Blog, which is often running some competition or other!

Research Methods

At the start of the course you will study how psychologists carry out their research. Just in case you miss any of it or need to revise it later, we're posting up the lesson notes and activities on the site. Click the study to go to the Research Methods page.

Independent Study

This year you will have to research five of the Core Studies yourself. This research will take you two hours or more but don't cut corners - you want to be sure of this stuff for the exam. Click the image to go to the Independent Study resource page.

Classroom Study

The other ten Core Studies will be taught to you through lessons. But sometimes people miss lessons. And sometimes you might want to revise what you learned in lessons! We're posting up a Classroom Study resources page that will guide you through the other studies, from Bandura to Thigpen & Cleckley. We'll include the PowerPoint lectures and lecture note sheets, the handouts and evaluation materials and all the web resources you'll need.
